Beginners Course

The course will start with safety followed with, sharpening, chuck work, spindle work, sanding and finishing.

Tools that you will be using are the roughing gouge, bowl gouge, spindle gouge and parting tool.

Items that you could make are, an egg, egg cup, small bowl, beaker.

These are just a small list of what can be done on the course.

Price for a full day for one person is £120.00

Maximum of two students.

Here you will see some of the wood turning that I have done over the past ten years. It is still a challenge in selecting and turning the best posible piece of wood that will end up, not every time as you want it.

December last year was taken up turning various items to sell through two or three shops in Sussex. Any of the items pictured here are for sale. Commision work also undertaken.

Intermediate Course

This course is designed to expand on the basics of turning that has been covered on the beginners course.

The course will start with safety followed with design, selection of wood, selection and use of tools, shaping, decoration, through to various types of finish for the project.

Price for a full day for one person is £150.00
